Today we're wrapping up our series with a mention of one of our favorites series, Ally Carter's Heist Society Series. Last year we fell in love with Kat & Hale in The Heist Society and this year this we adored them even more in Uncommon Criminals.

Published by Disney Hyperion
Released on June 21st, 2011

Katarina Bishop has worn a lot of labels in her short life: Friend. Niece. Daughter. Thief. But for the last two months she’s simply been known as the girl who ran the crew that robbed the greatest museum in the world. That’s why Kat isn’t surprised when she’s asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so it can be returned to its rightful owners.

There are only three problems. First, the gem hasn’t been seen in public in thirty years. Second, since the fall of the Egyptian empire and the suicide of Cleopatra, no one who holds the emerald keeps it for long — and in Kat’s world, history almost always repeats itself. But it’s the third problem that makes Kat’s crew the most nervous, and that is . . . the emerald is cursed.

Kat might be in way over her head, but she’s not going down without a fight. After all, she has her best friend — the gorgeous Hale — and the rest of her crew with her as they chase the Cleopatra around the globe, dodging curses and realizing that the same tricks and cons her family has used for centuries are useless this time.

Which means, this time, Katarina Bishop is making up her own rules.

Oh Hale! This series has some of the best character chemistry we have read, or maybe it's the way Ally writes those moments where Hale and Kat are close together, but not yet touching that makes us want to shove them together and tell them to kiss already. These two have an explosive chemistry that we're addicted to. It's not just Hale and Kat that make this series one of our favorites, but the entire cast of characters, the exciting plot and the beautiful settings. Kat, Hale and their entire team of young con artists are hard not to fall in love with. We love the way Ally blends together classic art, history and steaming chemistry. Ally's writing completely mesmerizes us, and we can never get enough of it. This is one series we highly recommend picking up!!
