Cassie's Movie News Round Up & Alex Pettyfer's Offer To Play Jace

Cassie's updated her site with some TMI movie information, and she comments on Alex Pettyfer and his offer to play Jace in the upcoming TMI movie-

"I wanted to wait till I could have an official chat with the studio folks before I said anything, so my small contribution is: I know Alex has met with the director, Scott Stewart, several times; I know he read the TMI books over the holidays and really liked them and liked Jace, and negotiations are ongoing. At this point it's all about the deal, which really doesn't have anything to do with me, so I stand back and wait for news like the rest of you."

Thank you Cassie, and YES we'll play Scrabble with you, though we're pretty sure you'll be able to beat us at a word game!!

I don't know about you guys, but we're so excited to hear this news!! We're looking forward to hearing more movie news soon.

Be sure to visit Cassie's site here for more- http://cassandraclare.livejournal.com/46672.html

Alex Pettyfer to play Jace!?!

Oh yes, you read that correctly! Before you continue to sequel like a little girl (NOT that we're doing that or anything, okay I was at least screaming like a little girl), Hollywood Crush and Vulture has reported that Alex P was offered the role to play Jace in the upcoming City of Bones movie.

At the moment, I can't find any other information and there's no word (from what I can tell) on whether or not he's accepted the offer (Oh please say YES). We will post more as we continue to get word on the cast.

4 Stars- It's A Good Read

At last, Miranda is the life of the party: all she had to do was die. Elevated and adopted by none other than the reigning King of the Mantle of Dracul, Miranda goes from high-school theater wannabe to glamorous royal fiend overnight. Meanwhile, her reckless and adoring guardian angel, Zachary, demoted to human guise as the princess’s personal assistant, has his work cut out for him trying to save his girl’s soul and plan the Master’s fast-approaching Death Day gala. In alternating points of view, Miranda and Zachary navigate a cut-throat eternal aristocracy as they play out a dangerous and darkly hilarious love story for the ages (quoted from Goodreads).

I really liked the mesh up of Dracula, Romeo & Juliet, and a Tale of Two Cities that are brilliantly written into Eternal. Cynthia created a very unique world and presents a fascinating love story between her two main characters Miranda the vampire and Zachary her Guardian Angel. I really enjoyed the alternating points of view between the two of them. Centered around the love story, is a more powerful message about redemption.

I liked Miranda as even though she's a vampire, she struggles making right choices and giving in to her vampire senses. I sympathized with as her master isn't someone you disobey and even if she isn't fond of her vampire ways she acts her part. I adored Zachary, as he's been Miranda's guardian angel since she was little. He knows everything about her and he's completely fallen in love with her, even though he's forbidden to reveal himself to her, or give her any guidance over the choices she makes in her life.

The night Miranda goes with her best friend to a grave yard is the night Zachary makes a costly mistake that not only cost Miranda her life, but cost him his wings. Now Miranda finds herself among the undead as their Princess and Zachary has to figure out away to save her soul. If he saves her, he may be able to save himself, though he's more concerned about her than himself. Miranda is the princess to Dracula, the more "modern day" one, but just as scary, and this assignment will be his toughest one yet.

Eternal has it all, as it's a story about deception, redemption, love, danger, and hope. It's a story that both fans of Dracula and paranormal characters will enjoy reading. Cynthia does such a great job at bringing you into her world, and then leaving you a bit heart broken in the end. Eternal does leave me with a glimmer of hope as to what will happen in Blessed.

Tomorrow I'll be sharing my review of Blessed and an interview with Cynthia!

Thoughtful Thursday- Getting To Know You, MM's Admin Team

With the start of the year, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for you to get to know the Mundie Moms Admin Team. These ladies are truly amazing and I appreciate everything they do to make Mundie Moms what it is, and I'm excited for you to get to know them better.

She's our graphic designer queen. She's the creative geneius behind our banners, and many of the graphics you'll find on our blog, the Mundie Kids blog and the forum. Forum members will know her for the awesome TMI adoption graphics she's made and the ID adoption graphics she'll be making on the forum. I'd like to introduce you to Jennifer!

How would you describe yourself in 2 sentences or less?
Unemployed, recent college grad and film junkie extraordinaire with a passion for writing and reading who also likes to bake. That about sums me up. Oh, and coffee lover.

Who's your favorite TMI or ID character and why?
Alec. I melt over a shy gay boy any day. And he's so self-deprecating all the time. Makes me sad and yet smile.

If you could have any rune, which one would you pick and why?
Balance? Cause it sounds cool. And I could go walk on a ledge and other dangerous shenanigans.

If had to choose only one book to take with you somewhere, which book would that be?
I don't think I could choose one. Could I trade a book for a journal and write my own book? That would be more satisfying than re-living any one adventure over and over again.

What was your favorite book to read growing up?
I had a few. When I was very young, I liked this story about a dachshund (can't remember the title or author) when I was older I loved the Mrs. Piggle Wiggle stories. And Amber Brown.

What author got your interested in reading?
I've always been interested in reading. Since I was a kid. I didn't always do it very frequently, but I've never not done it.

If you could spend the day with a fictional character, who would it be and why? (remember this is a family friendly site so you have to keep it clean *coughs*) LOL
I bet I'm supposed to answer something like Jace? ;) I think I might choose Percy from the Percy Jackson series. I think I'd have to choose a series character, cause I feel like I've known them longer. But Percy would be fun. And it would be Greek mythology and fun stuff!

Aside from reading, what do you enjoy doing on your down time?
Writing, watching an obnoxious amount of movies, listening to music and sometimes baking.

Who's the most memorable author you've met? (I know this is an unfair question. Pick more than one if you'd like)
Oh, geez. Um. Well as authors I looked forward too, Laurie Halse Anderson. I've never fangirled in front of an author until I met her. But I did. And she was so cool about it. As far as spectacular events, Rick Riordan's book signing event was way cool and as far as personally working with authors, Kami Garcia and Margie Stohl are AWESOME!!

Just for kicks, what boy band music do you secretly still listen to (don't lie) lol?
I was a Backstreet Boys girl back in the day and what? Their old stuff still rocks!

Thank you Jennifer for the great interview!
