June Teasers for Clockwork Prince & City of Lost Souls

We love Cassie's monthly Clockwork Prince teasers and this month's teaser mentions Love potions for Will! I don't know about you guys, but love potions and Will in one sentence caught my attention. Hmmm I wonder if Magnus will have anything to do with this.

From Clockwork Prince:

The ghost screeched with laughter. “Love potions? For Will Herondale? T’aint my way to turn down payment, but any man who looks like you has got no need of love potions, and that’s a fact.”

Cassie also treated fans to a teaser from City of Lost Souls:

1) “You’re a Lightwood,” she said. “Your family never gives up. I knew you wouldn’t let what I said to you that night well enough alone.”

2) “You have a dark heart in you, Valentine’s daughter,” he said. “You just won’t admit it. And if you want Jace, you had better accept it. Because he belongs to me now.”

3) “I don’t do false reassurances,” Izzy said, and pushed the tequila bottle away from her. Her eyes, on Jordan, were lively and dark. “Come here, werewolf boy.”

I cant not wait for both of these releases. You can find all the teasers for Clockwork Prince and City of Lost Souls on Cassie's site and on our Mundie Moms Forum. Don't forget to enter to win a pre-ordered copy of Clockwork Prince with our Follower Appreciation Giveaway.

Book Review - Spellbound

Written by: Cara Lynn Schultz

4 stars - I really liked this book. Go pick it up.

Synopsis (from Cara's website):
What’s a girl to do when meeting The One means she’s cursed to die a horrible death?

Life hasn’t been easy on sixteen-year-old Emma Conner, so a new start in New York may be just the change she needs. But the posh Upper East Side prep school she has to attend? Not so much. Friendly faces are few and far between, except for one that she’s irresistibly drawn to—Brendan Salinger, the guy with the rock-star good looks and the richest kid in school, who might just be her very own white knight.

But even when Brendan inexplicably turns cold, Emma can’t stop staring. Ever since she laid eyes on him, strange things have been happening. Streetlamps go out wherever she walks, and Emma’s been having the oddest dreams. Visions of herself in past lives—visions that warn her to stay away from Brendan. Or else.

A precious gift from a dead, twin brother. A boy who thinks he can have anyone he wants. A best friend who just happens to be a witch. And an aunt who gives you a chance to start over at a new school in a new city. These are the key elements that start Emma's story. Oh but wait, I forgot one very important item -- the dark haired, green eyed boy whose gaze Emma just can't seem to shake.

I love a story where love-at-first-sight makes sense and in the case of Brendan and Emma there's a reason behind their intense attraction. I will caution you to be patient; the storyline unfolds slowly but packs a dizzying climax which will leave you wishing the sequel would be released tomorrow.
As the new girl, Emma struggles to find her place in school but her determination to do the right thing, combined with her curiosity to discover why her brother keeps appearing in her nightmares made this story a page-turner. I liked how Cara Lynn Schultz kept the magic elements in the background to what is a sweet, romantic and dark-but-in-the-best-possible-way romance.
If you're in the mood for a romance with a sprinkling of magic then pick up Spellbound. For me it was a perfect summer read – a well told, romantic tale.
