Blog Tour: Guest Post with Unraveling Isobel author Eileen Cook

I'm thrilled to have Unraveling Isobel author, Eileen Cook on MM's today, as part of the Unraveling Isobel blog tour. Today Eileen has stopped by to share with us some of her favorite books.
***********

It’s so hard to pick a favorite! I love such a wide range of books from contemporary, YA, thrillers, historical fiction and even non-fiction. What I’m reading at any particular time depends on my mood. Growing up I loved The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, anything by Judy Blume or by Lois Duncan. Some of my all time favorites include the entire Harry Potter series, A Prayer for Owen Meany, The House at Riverton, and Rebecca.

My most recent favorite books include The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson, Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake, The Fitzosbournes in Exile by Cooper and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. Two books that I had a chance to read early versions of were Never Enough by Denise Jaden and The Right and the Real by Joelle Anthony- you’ll want to check those two out when they come out this year!

Isobel’s life is falling apart. Her mom just married some guy she met on the internet only three months before, and is moving them to his sprawling, gothic mansion off the coast of nowhere. Goodbye, best friend. Goodbye, social life. Hello, icky new stepfather, crunchy granola town, and unbelievably good-looking, officially off-limits stepbrother.

But on her first night in her new home, Isobel starts to fear that it isn’t only her life that’s unraveling—her sanity might be giving way too. Because either Isobel is losing her mind, just like her artist father did before her, or she’s seeing ghosts. Either way, Isobel’s fast on her way to being the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. -quoted from Goodreads
