Series: Revenants #2

Kate and Vincent have overcome the odds and at last they are together in Paris, the city of lights and love.

As their romance deepens there’s one question they can’t ignore: How are they supposed to be together if Vincent can’t resist sacrificing himself to save others? Although Vincent promises that he’ll do whatever it takes to lead a normal life with Kate, will that mean letting innocent people die? When a new and surprising enemy reveals itself, Kate realizes that even more may be at stake—and that Vincent’s immortality is in jeopardy.

In Die for Me, Amy Plum created a captivating paranormal mythology with immortal revenants and a lush Paris setting. Until I Die is poised to thrill readers with more heart-pounding suspense, spellbinding romance, and a cliff-hanger ending that will leave them desperate for the third and final novel in the series -quoted from Goodreads

A heart breakingly beautiful love story, Amy Plum's sequel Until I Die takes readers deeper into Revenant lore, ups the passion in the already passionate love story, introduces readers to new characters, throws in some twists and gives readers a shocking ending I didn't even see coming. I loved being back in Paris with Kate, Vincent, Jules and the fabulous cast of characters that exist in this world. I didn't realize how much I missed them, until I sat down to read this book. What a fabulous read this is. The history of the Revenants is explored more, the character growth is amazing and the new plot developments are both enticing and shocking, in terms of some of the things that transpire.

In Die For Me I immediately fell in love with Amy's characters, their unique history and the beautiful setting, Paris. With Until I Die, I was pleasantly surprised with how Amy was able to take those things and build upon them even more. She created characters that grew stronger, she allowed her secondary characters to shine more in this book and she allowed me to see how they all interact together given the situations that arose in this plot line. One of those characters is Kate's sister, Georgia. I loved her in this book, and I've enjoyed seeing how Kate and Georgia have become closer as the series has progressed. Amy changes things up a bit with her introductions of the two new characters who add a mix of uncertainty, old school Revenants flare, and a bit of intrigue to an already out standing cast of characters. They definitely put me on a guard a bit, but Amy does a wonderful job at weaving them into this series.

The romance in this series is one of my favorites! I felt the Paris setting, and the Revenant history only intensified it a bit more in this book. What I loved about the romance between Kate and Vincent in Die For Me was amped up considerably in Until I Die. Their passion, their commitment and devotion for one another is so sigh worthy. I felt like their emotions leapt off the pages. I understand their concerns, their uncertainty and their desperation. There's a lot at stake and their sacrifices for one another are commendable. I love the old school feel to their romance. It's honorable, and it's one that's simply a breath of fresh air for me.

It's not just the romance, but the love between family members and friends that makes this book for me. Aside from Vincent and Kate's love, I love the brotherly love that Vincent and Jules, and some of the other Revenants have for one another. That love that they'd lay down their lives for each other without hesitation. Where there's love, there's heart ache and Amy does not shy away from throwing in some gut wrenching scenes, shocking betrayals and the unthinkable for her characters. Some scenes were a killer to read, as Amy does such a superb job at bringing both the characters and my emotions to the surface. I love it when an author can connect me to their story that way.

Talk about an ending......! Amy does a fabulous job at setting up things for next and final book in the series. This is an awesome sequel and I enjoyed each moment I spent reading it. My only complaint is I can not wait that long for the next book! I think fans will pleasantly surprised with all the transpires in this book. I highly recommend picking this book up when it's out May 8th!

  8. DIE FOR ME was an incredibly intense, romantic book. I loved the romance between Kate and Vincent. Unlike a lot of other paranormal romantic leads, there's no creepy vibe about Vincent. I also love Jules! He's so funny and has a great bond with Vincent. I cannot wait to read UNTIL I DIE. I also can't wait to meet the wonderful Ms. Amy Plum on her upcoming tour! :D

  13. I actually have 2 favourite parts. The part when Kate decided to let go of who she was in the past and truly accepted her life now. It was incredibly brave and it made me cry too.
Also, when Kate made the decision
(thinking she would die) to stand up to the Numa at the end and her and vincent being able to take him down.

    p.s. thanks for the contest!

  25. Well, first of all the book is set is Paris, which is one of my favorite cities in the world, so I absolutely loved that! And I love that the idea of the Revenants is so original and refresing. But the thing I liked the most were the characters. The Revenants, in particular, were so vivid for me, so full of depth and just plain awesome. Great great book. Can't wait to read Until I Die! *-*

  29. I'm sure it's cliche to say that there wasn't ONE thing I loved most about Die For Me. I loved the characters, setting, action and romance. If I had to choose one thing it wouldn't be about the story but about the writing. Amy Plum is brilliantly talented and a wonderful storyteller. I could not put Die For Me down and read it cover to cover in a single sitting. She captures the emotion in each scene and it's hard not to be drawn into the story. I love when an author has the ability to capture my attention so completely. Can't wait for Until I Die! :)
