Cover Reveal: OVeRRiDE by Heather Anastasiu & a Giveaway

Today I've got an exciting cover reveal to share with you guys, which is book two in debut author Heather Anastasiu's upcoming series. Book one, GLITCH will be released next month through St. Martin's Griffin, and her sequel OVERRIDE will be out in February of 2013. I'm thrilled to reveal Heather's cover for OVERRIDE! Check out the cover below!

Published by: St. Martin’s Griffin
To Be Released on: February 19th, 2013
Pre-Order from: Amazon | Barnes & Noble

About OVeRRiDE:

Zoe is free. She has escaped the enslavement of the Community, disconnected from the hardware that had controlled her every thought and emotion, and evaded capture by the Chancellor intent on killing her. She is finally free, but she is far from safe.

Zoe and Adrien hide themselves from detection at the Foundation, an academy that trains teen glitchers to fight in the Resistance movement. Together, Zoe and her new team of superhuman fighters must risk their lives to rescue other glitchers and humans from the Chancellor's control. Challenges abound at every turn, and Adrien, who has become silent, distant, and tormented by his visions of the future, only adds to the growing certainty of defeat. But worst of all, as Zoe's team fights against impossible odds, distrust and betrayal leads to the terrible discovery that their greatest threat could already be lurking behind the safe walls of the Foundation -quoted from Goodreads

About GLITCH:

Zoe lives in a world free of pain and war. Like all members of the Community, a small implanted chip protects her from the destructive emotions that destroyed the Old World. Until her hardware starts to glitch.

Zoe begins to develop her own thoughts and feelings, but nothing could be more dangerous in a place where malfunctions can get you killed. And she has another secret she must conceal at all costs: her glitches have given her uncontrollable telekinetic powers.

As she struggles to keep her burgeoning powers hidden, she finds other glitchers with abilities like hers, and together they plot to escape. But the more she learns about beauty, joy, and love, the more Zoe has to lose if they fail. With danger lurking around every corner, she’ll have to decide just how much she’s willing to risk to be free.

OVERRIDE continues Zoe’s story.

  1. The cover doesn't stand out as much as Glitch's does. However, I still like it.

  4. Glitch's cover is a beautifully muted play of light against dark - I think the color palette is gorgeous <3

Override, however, kind of misses the mark and doesn't come across with the same allure. Ah, well - maybe they'll redesign it ;D

Thank you for the sweet giveaway <3

  5. I really like the color palette on Glitch and I can see how they tried to do it again on Override. But I don't think there is enough contrast between the red and orange colors, it's a little to subtle. But I think they are very complimentary and I love when the publishers keep the covers flowing.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  36. This is awesome! GLITCH is definitely one of the top five releases I'm very excited about this year! I can't wait to read it. And it's great to know that the second one in the series will be out so (relatively) soon after the first! I love the cover, especially how there is that little burst of light and sense of electronics under the skin. Definitely lets you know it's got a sci-fi element even without reading the blurb. THANKS for the giveaway!!

  46. I like that you can tell that the books are in the same series very clearly, but I'm not a huge fan of the Override cover. The girl is halfway between computer/drawing and actual person. Forever Young Adult actually did a "cover story" on Glitch, which I think of every time I see the cover! As purple is one of my favorite colors I like Glitch better and like the font selected for both.
