Thoughtful Thursday: A Female Author Talks About Sexism and Self-Promotion

Cassie posted a link on her tumblr  to an article Sarah Rees Brennan wrote for The Toast. It made me sad to see the toll that being a professional writer (and yes, self-promo is part of that job along with creating fantastic stories we love to read) takes on my favorite writers. And this discussion begs a bigger question --  how can we change this? My brain is spinning with the facts that I just read.

What do you think, MMs?

Mundane Monday (Belated) #198 - Charlotte & Henry

Happy Very Belated Mundane Monday!
I'm featuring a couple I came to adore in The Infernal Devices series, one of my all time favorite series. Charlotte & Henry!

And then she said nothing else, for Henry put his arms around her and kissed her. Kissed her in such a way that she no longer felt plain, or conscious of her hair or the ink spot on her dress or anything but Henry, whom she had always loved. Tears welled up and spilled down her cheeks, and when he drew away, he touched her wet face wonderingly.
"Really," he said. "You love me, too, Lottie?

Now I need to go back and re-read this series again.
