Each morning I'll post questions pertaining to the chapter we just read the night before. Like the previous read alongs, I'll include the links for each post on the date that's listed above. There are no right or wrong answers. The only thing I ask is that you please be respectful to everyone's comments. No bashing, and please do not list spoilers, as some readers will be reading CoLS for the first time.

City of Heavenly Fire Synopsis & Buying Signed Copies

Happy Friday Shadowhunters! Check out the CoFH synopsis that was recently updated on Cassie's site. Below you'll also find info on where you can purchase a signed copy of Cassie's upcoming release.

Per Cassie's website, check out the newly posted City of Heavenly Fire synopsis:

In the long-awaited conclusion to the acclaimed Mortal Instruments series, Clary and her friends fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary’s own brother.
Sebastian Morgenstern is on the move, systematically turning Shadowhunter against Shadowhunter. Bearing the Dark Cup, he transforms Shadowhunters into creatures out of nightmare, tearing apart families and lovers as the ranks of his Endarkened army swell.
The embattled Shadowhunters withdraw to Idris  — but not even the famed demon towers of Alicante can keep Sebastian at bay. And with the Nephilim trapped in Idris, who will guard the world against demons?
When one of the greatest betrayals the Nephilim have ever known is revealed, Clary, Jace, Isabelle, Simon, and Alec must flee — even if their journey takes them deep into the demon realms, where no Shadowhunter has set foot before, and from which no human being has ever returned . . .
Love will be sacrificed and lives lost in the terrible battle for the fate of the world in the thrilling final installment of the classic urban fantasy series The Mortal Instruments!

Signed copies can be acquired by calling Books of Wonder and placing a pre-order!

The Falconer by Elizabeth May, Book Trailer / Excerpt

Happy Friday! I am thrilled to share with you the book trailer and excerpt for Elizabeth May's upcoming release, The Falconer. Set to be released in May 2014 from Chronicle Books, this is a book I'm looking forward to featuring here on Mundie Moms. I've heard some great things about it. Here's a little bit about the book.

By Elizabeth May
Ages 14 and up
May 2014

Debutante by day. Murderess by night. Edinburgh’s only hope.
Edinburgh, 1844. Beautiful Aileana Kameron only looks the part of an aristocratic young lady. In fact, she’s spent the year since her mother died developing her ability to sense the presence of Sithichean, a faery race bent on slaughtering humans. She has a secret mission: to destroy the faery who murdered her mother. But when she learns she’s a Falconer, the last in a line of female warriors and the sole hope of preventing a powerful faery population from massacring all of humanity, her quest for revenge gets a whole lot more complicated. The first volume of a trilogy from an exciting new voice in young adult fantasy, this electrifying thriller blends romance and action with steampunk technology and Scottish lore in a deliciously addictive read.
"A combination of steampunk tech and supernatural danger with a multitalented heroine who can hold her own against murderous faeries and romantic foils alike."Publishers Weekly

“Forget Bella, banish Katniss and Expelliarmus Hermione-there is a new breed of ass-kicker in town. . . . Elizabeth May’s debut is a wicked cocktail of Jane Austen and the Grimms’ fairy tales.”—Claire Nicholls, SciFiNow

“Simply put, my favorite YA paranormal this year. A must read!"--New York Times Bestselling author —Jennifer L. Armentrout

"A riveting world, a fierce heroine, and electrifying action--I burned through this sparkling debut!"— Sarah J. Maas, New York Times bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series
