The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black; Blog Tour: Favorite Quotes & Giveaway

Hello & Welcome to today's The Darkest Part of the Forest blog tour stop.
Today I'm thrilled to share a couple of my quotes from Holly Black's upcoming release.
Before I share those, here's a little bit about the book:

By: Holly Black
Published by: Little Brown
To Be Released on: 1/13/15
Pre-Order from:  AmazonBarnes & Noble
Add it to: Goodread

Children can have a cruel, absolute sense of justice. Children can kill a monster and feel quite proud of themselves. A girl can look at her brother and believe they’re destined to be a knight and a bard who battle evil. She can believe she’s found the thing she’s been made for.

Hazel lives with her brother, Ben, in the strange town of Fairfold where humans and fae exist side by side. The faeries’ seemingly harmless magic attracts tourists, but Hazel knows how dangerous they can be, and she knows how to stop them. Or she did, once.
At the center of it all, there is a glass coffin in the woods. It rests right on the ground and in it sleeps a boy with horns on his head and ears as pointed as knives. Hazel and Ben were both in love with him as children. The boy has slept there for generations, never waking.
Until one day, he does…
As the world turns upside down, Hazel tries to remember her years pretending to be a knight. But swept up in new love, shifting loyalties, and the fresh sting of betrayal, will it be enough?

For today's tour stop, I was asked to pick a few of my favorite quotes from The Darkest Part of the Forest. This book is my favorite Holly Black book. I loved the way she wrote it. Something about her writing in this book really struck something with me. I couldn't enough of it. I highlighted quite a few passages from this book. Below are four of my favorites. These quotes are taken out of context, and will remain spoiler free, so that you don't know which characters are saying them, and to whom these are being said to. I didn't realize until after I put these together, that each of my quotes are centered around love, which does play a huge role in this story. *sigh*

1) They were in love with him because he was a prince and a faerie and magical and you were supposed to love princes and faeries and magic people. They loved him the way they'd love Beast the first time he swept Belle around the dance floor in her yellow dress. They loved him as they loved the Eleventh Doctor with his bow tie and his flippy hair and the Tenth Doctor with his mad laugh. They loved him as they loved lead singers of bands and actors in movies, loved him such a away that their shared love brought them closer together.

2) "I love you like storybooks. I love you like ballads. I love you like lightning bolt. I've loved you since the third month you came and spoke with me. I loved that you made me want to laugh.  love the way you were kind and the you would pause when you spoke, as though you were waiting for me to answer you. I love you and I am mocking no one when I kiss you, no one at all."

3) "I don't want anyone normal. I don't want anyone safe. I want you. I have loved you from almost the first moment I saw you, wild and fierce and brave, running through the woods, your lips stained purple from blackberry juice. I figured that you just made me like everyone else loving you, but that didn't keep me from doing it."

4) ...... "A relationship can be whatever you want it to be. We get to make this part up. We get to tell our own story."

This book is awesome! I loved it. My 5 star review will be posted shortly. In the mean time, be sure to enter to win 1 0f 10 hardcopies of The Darkest Part of the Forest that are being giving away through out the tour! Enter to win below!
