The Iron Warrior by Julie Kagawa / The Iron Fey Farewell Blog Tour & Giveaway

Hello and welcome to the next to last stop in the, Farewell To The Iron Fey blog tour, hosted by the fabulous Julie Kagawa. I'd say we're shedding tears over this being the last book in Julie's Iron Fey series, but we all know how our tears feed her muse. So we'll just say we're crying inside over having to say good bye to our beloved characters.

We've had the honor of being apart of Julie's Fey world since the beginning, and have shared a range of posts from our reviews, to guest posts with Julie, her characters and more. You can check out all our Fey posts here. We have loved getting to know her characters, their world, and their stories. We've enjoyed sharing our reviews for each of her books. You can read our reviews for The Iron King, The Iron Daughter, The Iron QueenWinter's Passage, Summer's CrossingThe Iron Knight, The Iron LegendsThe Lost Prince.

We have fallen in love with her characters (ASH), their stories, their world, and everything in between. Did I mention we love Ash? With the end of The Iron Fey Serieswe just weren't ready to let the Meghan, Ash, nor any of the characters go just yet. Thankfully Julie wasn't either.

We have loved getting to see a continuation of the Iron Fey series through a whole set of characters, with The Iron Fey: Call of The Forgotten series. We've loved getting to see the Fey world through Ethan, Meghan's brother, and then Meghan and Ash's son, Keirran's eyes. We've loved getting to see more of our favorite Fey characters, Meghan, Ash, Puck and Grim.

But alas, it seems not even Grim or Puck could save us from the series ending. I guess all good things have to come to an end....*cue the tears*

We hope Julie enjoys our tears, and that they feed her muse (we know they will). Thankfully we've got a couple more weeks before the end is official with the release of The Iron Warrior. Until then we're going to hold onto that hope that Glitch will some how get his hands on Julie's computer, and find a hidden Fey story. Or maybe Grim will find away to get around the ending, and the series will continue. One can always hope right? Or maybe we can send the gremlin chibi after her *evil laugh* Okay we won't do that, because they're with us today. Which means, we're now wrapping this up before mass chaos ensues. I think Julie sent them here for a reason.

Before the little gremlin's take cover, check out the rest of my post and don't forget to ENTER TO WIN! The giveaway is only running for 1 week!

The Iron Prince—my nephew—betrayed us all.

He killed me.

Then, I woke up.

Waking after a month on the brink of death, Ethan Chase is stunned to learn that the Veil that conceals the fey from human sight was temporarily torn away. Although humankind's glimpse of the world of Faery lasted just a brief moment, the human world has been cast into chaos, and the emotion and glamour produced by fear and wonder has renewed the tremendous power of the Forgotten Queen. Now, she is at the forefront of an uprising against the courts of Summer and Winter—a reckoning that will have cataclysmic effects on the Nevernever.

Leading the Lady's Forgotten Army is Keirran himself: Ethan's nephew, and the traitor son of the Iron Queen, Meghan Chase. To stop Keirran, Ethan must disobey his sister once again as he and his girlfriend, Kenzie, search for answers long forgotten. In the face of unprecedented evil and unfathomable power, Ethan's enemies must become his allies, and the world of the fey will be changed forevermore.

The new ABC Family television series “Shadowhunters,” based on the New York Times bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, follows 18 year-old Clary Fray who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is, but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters - human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold. “Shadowhunters” is set to premiere in early 2016.
The panel will include exclusive footage and a Q&A with cast members Katherine McNamara (“Clary”), Dominic Sherwood (“Jace”), Harry Shum Jr. (“Magnus”), Alberto Rosende (“Simon”), Emeraude Toubia (“Isabelle”), Matthew Daddario (“Alec”) and Isaiah Mustafa (“Luke”) as well as showrunner Ed Decter (“Helix”), Executive Producer McG (“Charlie’s Angels,” “Chuck”) and book author Cassandra Clare.

Check out the newest Virtues & Vices card (posted here):

The newest installment in Cassandra Jean’s Virtues and Vices series!
The beautiful and talented Cassandra Jean and I were discussing the seven deadly sins (lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride) and the seven virtues (chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, humility) and it sparked a new project: which TMI/TID/TDA/TLH characters embody which virtues and vices? Here Meliorn the traitor faerie embodies sloth: not laziness of body but simply the laziness which allows people to passively do evil because it is easier.
Previous installment: Magnus symbolizing Wisdom. Wisdom has long been considered a part of Chastity. Cassandra Jean and I decided not to go with Chastity as a virtue as neither of us felt comfortable supporting it as one, and while this was inspired by a discussion of the seven Christian virtues and vices, it is not bound to them — it is an exploration of which character embody which virtues and vices generally, as we interpret vice and virtue.
