In the next installment of the New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica—the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both—and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.

I love this series, and can not wait to read Chaol's story. I'm anxiously awaiting this book's release. Cover wise, I love this cover. I'm torn, because while I wish Chaol was on the cover, I also like not seeing who he is. I'm not a huge fan of seeing characters on covers of books, because than that's the image of the character I have in my head, and more often than not, the cover characters do not match the characters in the story. Plus, look at the shield. That seems fitting for Chaol. Is this book on your TBR list? What book are you waiting to get your hands on?

  1. It would have been so neat to see Chaol on the cover! But this cover is pretty cool though. I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it!

    1. I'll be honest, I was a little ticked that Chaol wasn't on the cover when it first came out. Than I realized that if he had been, and it wasn't who I pictured, it would have ruined it for me. It is weird that there's a character on each cover, until this one. We'll have to chat after we read this book.
