Midnight Tales Tour / Blog Tour #LeighBardugo #TheLanguageofThorns #MidnightTales #GrishaVerse

It's finally out! Leigh Barudgo's THE LANGUAGE OF THORNS Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic is out TODAY! I can not wait for my preorder to be delivered today. To celebrate today's release, we were asked to create a post that tied in folklore and fairytales and The Language of the Thorns. Originally I was going to do a list of favorites, but decided to go with a picture.

I am a sucker for fantasy. I have always loved the folklore, myths and legends that tie into a well crafted fantasy story. They add a feeling to the story that I love. Leigh Bardugo is a writer who's created some of my all time favorite reads. Her Grishaverse are some of my favorite books, which is one of the reasons why I can not wait to read this book. I'm looking forward to being back in the Grisha world, and getting a behind the scenes look into the lore and legends of their stories and history.

The Language of the Thorns is a collection of stories that gives fans and readers a more detailed look into the rich history of the Grisha world. I imagine these stories are ones that have been passed down for generations, and ones the characters themselves have heard a number of times. I'm curious to know which one of these was a favorite of the Darkling as a child..... I'm guessing probably all of them.

Travel to a world of dark bargains struck by moonlight, of haunted towns and hungry woods, of talking beasts and gingerbread golems, where a young mermaid's voice can summon deadly storms and where a river might do a lovestruck boy's bidding but only for a terrible price.
Inspired by myth, fairy tale, and folklore, #1 New York Times–bestselling author Leigh Bardugo has crafted a deliciously atmospheric collection of short stories filled with betrayals, revenge, sacrifice, and love.
Perfect for new readers and dedicated fans, these tales will transport you to lands both familiar and strange—to a fully realized world of dangerous magic that millions have visited through the novels of the Grishaverse.
This collection of six stories includes three brand-new tales, all of them lavishly illustrated with art that changes with each turn of the page, culminating in six stunning full-spread illustrations as rich in detail as the stories themselves.
