Quincy has the same dream every year on Christmas Eve - of finding a little boy holding a special gift for her under the tree - and every Christmas morning, she's awoken to find a gift wrapped in tinfoil with her name on it...

When school resumes after the winter break, Quincy's class discovers they have an unusual new transfer student named Cupid. Ridiculously cute and friendly, the new boy has everyone both enamored and confused. Those antlers can't be real...can they?? With Cupid having seemingly set his sights on Quincy, it seems she'll be having a memorable year indeed!

REINDEER BOY is a charming, magical, YA Christmas romance. The creator of some of the most popular Shadowhunters and many other YA fandom artwork, has a book out, and it is fabulous! I'm not sure how I missed this book until now. I've long been a fan of Cassandra Jean's work, but one might be one of my favorites yet. It is the perfect Christmas read!

From antlers to making it possible to travel anywhere in the world, everything that Quincy learns about totally made sense for this book. Even down to the Christmas wish Cupid was granted, and Quincy's all the sudden sprouted antlers. Well that part was strange for her for most of the story. If it hadn't been for her reoccurring dream she's had since she was little girl every Christmas Eve, things may have been harder for her to accept.

I enjoyed the unique YA twist Cassandra Jean put on Santa and his reindeers. This diverse group of characters are fabulous. It was fun getting to know all of them, especially Cupid and Quincy. This book will definitely have you falling in love with the Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, and even Kris Kringle himself. I loved that the reindeer were a mix of boys and girls. I was fascinated w/ their origin on how they came to be. I'm now looking at Santa and his reindeer in a whole new way.

Reindeer Boy is the perfect Christmas read! It has the right amount of humor, romance, and some great illustrations. Even though this story focused on Cupid and Quincy, I'm left wanting to know more about some of the characters. I'll definitely be re-reading this one every holiday season. I'm hoping that this is not a stand alone, but the first in a series.
