Waiting On Wednesday-Claire De Lune by Christine Johnson

hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine

Published by Simon and Schuster
To Be Released on May 18, 2010

Torn between two destinies… Claire is having the perfect sixteenth birthday. Her pool party is a big success, and gorgeous Matthew keeps chatting and flirting with her as if she’s the only girl there. But that night, she discovers something that takes away all sense of normalcy: she’s a werewolf. As Claire is initiated into the pack of female werewolves, she must deal not only with her changing identity, but also with a rogue werewolf who is putting everyone she knows in danger. Claire’s new life threatens her blossoming romance with Matthew, whose father is leading the werewolf hunt. Now burdened with a dark secret and pushing the boundaries of forbidden love, Claire is struggling to feel comfortable in either skin. With her lupine loyalty at odds with her human heart, she will make a choice that will change her forever…. (from Simon and Schuster)

The wolf girl in me is dying to read, what sounds like a MUST read, must have book. Wolves, romance and a character coming into her own, definitely make this a Mundie Moms book to read! The story sounds amazing and the cover is beautiful!

To get to know Christine Johnson a bit more, Simon and Schuster have a great Q&A with her on their site:
Q. Who are your favorite authors?
A. SO MANY FAVORITES. Seriously. I love John Steinbeck and the Ann Patchett and John Green. Scott Westerfeld is a genius. So are Holly Black and Neil Gaiman. Heidi Ayarbe takes my breath away. Ask me tomorrow, and I can give you a different list. There are so many different historical literary periods. Different genres with a list of authors who are each "best" at one particular sort of thing, like plot. Or imagery. Or an unexpected turn of phrase that makes you put down the book so you can really absorb it.
Q. What are your 5 favorite books of all time?
A. Couldn't say. That list changes daily. Today, this afternoon, I can tell you that I most love Ann Patchett's BEL CANTO, Neil Gaiman's CORALINE, CHRONICLE OF THE SEVEN SORROWS by Patrick Chamoiseau, A LITTLE PRINCESS by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and PAPER TOWNS by John Green. Tomorrow? Different list.
