I am so excited about this week! Our friends Novel Novice & I have had a lot of fun working on this feature. Not only will be talking about our favorite scenes from COFA, we'll also have giveaways! Thank you to Simon & Schuster at the end of the week we'll each be giving away a SIGNED copy of COFA! Each of our site's will also have some swag and a little treat from Cassie we'll be sharing through out the week. Today's favorite scene of discussion is SIMON! I know it's not a scene, but I can't post about COFA and not talk about Simon. What isn't there to like about Simon!?! Sure he's a conflicted vampire who has girl problems, something I'm sure many of us didn't think was possible for him when we first met him in COB. To me, Simon has grown the most character wise. He's become one of my favorite characters in the TMI series.
One of my favorite parts of COFA with Simon is his bantering with Jace. He can finally dish it right back to Jace and with everything that goes on in COFA, I found their scenes and lines together were often times the comical relief I needed. I certainty never excepted Jace and Simon to go grocery shopping together either, even if it was for mangos and tomato soup. Simon continues to be the best friend Clary needs, is torn between his feelings with Mia and Izzy and proves not only to himself, but to the cast of characters from COFA, that he's a force to be reckoned with, with his mark of Cain. I love the Simon is like the ultimate vampire with a geeky side to him.

Jace and Simon were so much fun to read in COFA. Loved it!

ReplyDeleteI'm on the reserve list at the library but it's going to be a LONG wait because there are so many people ahead of me, so if I could win this book, that would be extremely awesome!! I would start reading it the day it got here! In case you can't tell, I am so, so excited about this book :)
