Upcoming YA Events in Austin & Central TX

There are a ton of exciting YA events taking place this month in the Austin area, as well as around the great state of TX. Many of these events are free to get into, but please be sure you read their requirements on the links I've provided for each event. Here are this month's exciting upcoming events:

Don't miss Teen Book Con on Saturday April 14 from 9am - 4pm in Houston, TX at the Alief Taylor High School! This event is FREE and gives YA fans a chance to meet a ton of their favorite authors, as well as get their books signed. Here's a list of authors who will be attending this year, as well as a link to the schedule. Just to name a few authors you don't want to miss meeting: Holly Black, Lisa McMann, Elizabeth Eulberg, Maggie Stiefvater, Michael Grant, Tara Hudson, Jessica Spotswood and Michelle Zink. I'll see you there!

Austin YA Fans, do NOT miss this event happening at Book People on Monday April 16th, at 7 pm! Come meet & listen Maggie Stiefvater, Siobhan Vivian and Elizabeth Eulberg talk about their latest releases, as well as sign them! David Levithan will be moderating this event!! I'll be there tweeting from the event and posting about it the next day as well. This event is FREE, however if you want to get your books signed you do need to purchase each of their books at the event.

I'll be at TLA on Wednesday and Thursday, April 18th & 19th!! Last year was a ton of fun and this year the author line up is AMAZING! Jen w/ I Read Banned Books has a lot of helpful links for the event. You can read the list of author signings, a printable author list, exhibit hall map, exhibits and register here. You can also purchase a ticket for the Texas Tea YA Author Event happening on Wed April 18th. See the list of authors attending that here.

SPRING INTO THE FUTURE kicks off next week in NY! Be sure to click on the high lighted link for the list of tour stops. I'll thrilled to announce I'll be the hosting blogger for Veronica Rossi and Tahereh Mafi's Austin, TX stop at Book People on April 26th! I'll be interviewing both authors, tweeting live from the events and posting about the tour stop the following day on the blog.
