Exclusive Cover Reveal: THORNHILL A Hemlock Novel by Kathleen Peacock

Happy Friday! I am so excited about today's cover reveal for author Kathleen Peacock. Her debut, Hemlock was released last year, and ever since I read it I've been anxiously awaiting the release of it's sequel, Thornhill. Check out this STUNNING COVER!

I love the cover of Hemlock, but I think I might love Thornhill's cover just a little bit more. I'm such a sucker for trees and having some sort of out door element when it comes to wolf books. I LOVE, love, love this cover. I'm normally not a cover of seeing faces on covers, but this cover is fabulous! What do you guys think?

Mac can’t lose another friend. Even if he doesn't want to be found.

The ripple effect caused by Mac’s best friend Amy’s murder has driven Mac’s new love, Kyle, to leave Hemlock and disappear from her life forever. But Mac knows that Kyle plans to enroll in a rehabilitation camp, where he can live with other werewolves. She refuses to accept his decision, especially since the camps are rumored to be tortuous. So she sets out in search of Kyle with a barely sober Jason—and Amy’s all-seeing ghost—in tow.

Clues lead Mac to find Kyle in a werewolf den in Colorado—but their reunion is cut short by a Tracker raid. Now Mac and Kyle are trapped inside the electric fences of Thornhill, a camp for young werewolves. As she devises an escape plan, Mac uncovers dangerous secrets buried within the walls of Thornhill—and realizes that the risk to the people she loves is greater than ever before.

  1. I think I actually like the first cover better. It's a little darker, which I like.

  11. I like the vines but the cover looks very photoshopped. I would expect that for a first book, not the second in the series.

  24. Love it!!! I'm usually no a huge fan of pink, or a person's face and body poased on a cover (there's something off about her facial expression...), but I love the shades of pink used, and I, as for the face, oh well! I cannot wait to read this book! :D

Thank you HarperTeen, Kathleen, and Katie, for the giveaway!

  33. Actually, I dislike covers that focus on faces. I'd rather not have a cover model as a built-in image for any of the characters in the book. I'd rather use my imagination.

  34. I don't like the person posing but overall BEAUTIFUL COVER

  39. WOW! I love the pinkish-purple thorns and flowers. I also like how the hair is pulled back, you don't see that on book covers that often.

  40. It's a very different cover then the first book but not too different, I like that =D I mostly can't wait to find out whats on the inside though!

  41. Mmmm. Fabulous giveaway to go with such terrific covers. Thanks!

  43. The cover is kind of hauntingly beautiful.

  44. I really like the cover. It is reminiscent of the first cover, but different. The change from innocent girl in dress on the cover of Hemlock to this one reflects the loss of innocence in the main character.

  47. So excited to see this on the blog!! (I'm behind in my reading ;)) I am actually reading HEMLOCK at this very moment and I'm LOVING it!!! I do really like the cover for THORNHILL, but I must say I agree with others who've said they prefer Hemlock's cover better. I like it because it's definitely darker, we don't see the model's face, and her pose tells me she's sad - all of which certainly fits with the book. I do agree with you on liking the trees on T's cover, and I don't *hate* that there's a model, though she's not really what I think of when I envision Mac. One of the things that always drew me to H's cover was the vines winding through the letters of the title, so I'm glad to see that they kept that element for the new book, and I like that the thorns are so pronounced (which, again, makes sense!). BUT, I am just not sure how I feel about the pink/purple color of the vines. Although it does make them stand out, I kind of wish they'd used silver or dark-ish green or something. That said, am I going to skip reading the book because of that? Heck no!! I certainly would not turn away a signed copy!! ;) Thanks for featuring this and for the awesome giveaway...fingers crossed!!

  48. I think the thorns are matchy-matchy with the title :D GREAT!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I like the thorns and the background scene - the girl seems superimposed on it so they don't seem that cohesive.

    Thanks,
    Leanne
