Clockwork Princess Reading Survival Guide

If you're like me, than you're still PATIENTLY waiting for your book to arrive. Really there is no such thing as patience when it comes to waiting to get Will in my hands. While waiting I've constructed a Clockwork Princess Reading Survival Guide to help me prepare for what's to come.

CLOCKWORK PRINCESS READING SURVIVAL GUIDE:

1) Do NOT jump on Tumblr. There are spoilers there. I know this first hand, and normally I'm not someone who minds finding out a few spoilers, but finding out how CP2 ends yesterday peeved me to no end.

2) Don't worry about wearing make up. It will most likely come right off with the tears of joy and heartbreak I keep getting told friends have shed while reading Clockwork Princess.

3) Buy stock in tissues. Apparently we're going to need them. Make sure you get the extra soft kind. ;)

4) Laying in the fetal position is totally acceptable today.

5) Chocolate might become your best friend, at least for today. Or maybe it's always your best friend, but today I find it totally acceptable to break that diet and enjoy your favorite comfort food. I think we're going to need it.

6) Just remember, you're not alone. We're one big Shadowhunter Family and we TOTALLY get IT! You can cry, yell, throw things (just not your book), be happy, have your heart broken, and feel completely satisfied (or maybe not) with how things end, and we'll totally get it.

7) No, you're not crazy. These are not just fictional characters. They're characters we've come to love, and we do not want to say good bye to them just set. As I mentioned above, we TOTALLY get IT!

8) It's perfectly acceptable to express your thoughts from Clockwork Princess like this (%*&@()$*#)@*$)(#*$#)(*$*)#$($%&)(*$@_)#(_@! No spoilers! ;)

9) When all else fails just CLOSE YOUR EYES and THINK OF ENGLAND! According to Jace that always works ;)

10) If #9 fails, then watch Robert Downey Jr in Sherlock Holmes and you'll feel better. I'm pretty sure Cassie would approve.

11) Okay, if #9 and #10 fail, then maybe this will help.....

Just in case you don't have your book yet, you can be like me and watch this trailer over and over until the UPS man shows up. Okay not that I've really watched this over and over again now that Robert Downey Jr is pictured above.

Remember, you can talk all things Clockwork Princess as well as spoilers (in the designated forum), here on the Clockwork Princess Forum.

How are you spending your CLOCKWORK PRINCESS release day?

  3. I am seriously disturbed. Not sure your survival guide helped so much as terrify me. Not sure I can handle reading it if it is so heartbreaking and tear worthy. That sounds intense. I may have to attend a support group after or get some counseling. So glad that there are others who can understand that while they are fictional characters they feel so very real. It is good to not be alone. I am waiting for my copy too. Hasn't bothering me too much since I am a bit afraid to actually read the book.

  5. Yes, survival guide on how to read CP2 is a must.
But...How about the guide to how to pick your sobbing heart off the floor so you can do things like load the dishwasher after reading CP2?

Oh, and did I ever go through the tissues.....both because of the book and my husband's gift to me....a ring inscribed with "One Woman One Love" *le sigh*
