The Bane Chronicles: The Runaway Queen Cover Revealed

A few hours ago, Cassie tweeted the cover for The Runaway Queen, the next installment of the Bane Chronicles. Ooooooh, look at that nail polish. Don't worry,  Mundie Moms, I'm already taking out my (embarrassingly large) nail polish collection and trying to find a perfect dupe for that color. And that ring! One thing we already knew, Magnus can accessorize. But who is this Runaway Queen?

Here's the synopsis:

Magnus Bane has a royal role in the French Revolution—if the angry mobs don’t spoil his spells. One of ten adventures in The Bane Chronicles.

While in France, immortal warlock Magnus Bane finds himself attempting to rescue the royal family from the horrors of the French Revolution—after being roped into this mess by a most attractive count. Naturally, the daring escape calls for invisible air balloons…

This standalone e-only short story illuminates the life of the enigmatic Magnus Bane, whose alluring personality populates the pages of the #1 New York Times bestselling series, The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices series. This story in The Bane Chronicles, The Runaway Queen, is written by Maureen Johnson and Cassandra Clare.

Maureen and Cassie writing a queen during the French Revolution, hmmmm? Could it be? Nah...we'll have to wait and see. You can pre-order the ebook at amazon | Barnes and Noble | kobo and add it to your goodreads TBR here. Next week (May 21st), we'll get to find out what happens in the next installment of Magnus' adventures. Invisible air balloons? Only our darling Magnus!

Sony Pictures Launches Clary Fray's Pinterest Account

I don't know about you guys but when I saw @MortalMovie (the official twitter account of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie) tweet about a Clary Fray pinterest account, I just about died of happyhappyjoyjoy.

As Katie will confirm, I'm a pinterest-aholic. I have boards for every thing I can possibly think of, no, seriously, I do. So now, Clary has boards, too. The first ones are My Art and Art Supplies, and it looks like we'll see Quotes and Hair Ideas soon.

Sony Pictures marketing campaign is simply brilliant. Because in  my Mundie Mom mind, Clary would totally have a pinterest account, and Simon would have a tumblr (yes, it's real, well as real as a fictional character's tumblr can be). Love his only post -- Band Names. So so so Simon, right?

If you haven't seen the becomeashadowhunter.com site, well, you're missing out on news updates and chances to win prizes just by sharing those updates on your social networks. And then lastly, I think we've all seen the very fun cityofmemes. Katie made a hysterical one over here.

Sony Pictures, you are making the wait for "City of Bones" way more tolerable and fun -- thank you!

Early TMI Merchandise

Earlier today, Martin Moszkowicz (executive producer of TMI) tweeted this pic of TMI merchandise. He's at Cannes Film Festival shopping around the sequel, "The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes".

Those shirts and hat look pretty darn cool, don't they? And are those journals? Mundie Moms, those designs looks soooooo good.
