United We Spy (Gallagher Girls, #6)

Rating:  5 out of 5 stars -- outstanding way to end a much loved series!

Synopsis:  Cammie Morgan has lost her father and her memory, but in the heart-pounding conclusion to the best-selling Gallagher Girls series, she finds her greatest mission yet. Cammie and her friends finally know why the terrorist organization called the Circle of Cavan has been hunting her. Now the spy girls and Zach must track down the Circle’s elite members to stop them before they implement a master plan that will change Cammie—and her country—forever.

So many of our beloved series are ending this year, I feel like we should throw them all a farewell party. And this was one book I was anticipating with a fervor I reserve for, well, a Covert Ops moment with Mr. Solomon. No seriously, Katie will confirm my all-out-begging gentle request for one of the chapter samples of United We Spy that was handed out at BEA. And those nine chapters only increased my longing for more. What would happen to Cammie? What would happen to Zach? And hey, Rachel, Mr. Solomon, Abby and Agent Townsend -- what about them?

I will assure you, Mundie Moms, that there are answers to everything in this concluding story. Ally leaves no loose threads and I am ever so grateful for that. The way the Circle was introduced and (no spoilers I promise) everything that happened to Cammie had to have a logical end. The end is presented in a gasp-worthy, spiraling, heart-thumping plot. I can't say any more. I really can't, but it's SOOOOOO good.

Katie might be able to add a few things from my texts to her (remember she hasn't read the last few books, yet, so most of my words were entirely too nonsensical to her, yet good friend that she is, she indulged my all out desperation). So let me just transcribe them here for you -- Zach flies a plane, CammieOMGCammie, Mr. Solomon is hot, Rachel's one awesome mom, OhWowAgent Townsend, UGHCatherine followed quickly by OHCatherine, OhGodPreston, Macey!,  Bex!, Liz's speech! They went something like that. Nonsensical to anyone who hasn't read the book. To those who have read it, right???? You are SO with me. And yes, I've run out of exclamation points. And I may have run out of Kleenex, too.

Thank you Ally for ending the Gallagher  Academy series in a way I couldn't have dreamed of -- it was simply perfect. And as a result of this book, I've started a new category in my goodreads reviews: "this is the way to end a series". Because yes, THIS IS THE WAY TO END A SERIES.
