CREATORS by Tiffany Truitt, Guest Post

I'm so thrilled to have CREATORS author, Tiffany Truitt on Mundie Moms today. She's her to tell us a little bit about Creators, the last book in her The Lost Souls series. Before she takes it away, here's a little bit about her book.

Heartbroken but more determined than ever after a tense showdown in the woods, sixteen-year-old Tess once again returns to the safety of her community of Isolationists. Bolstered by new alliances and desperate to protect those she loves, this time she knows she can return stronger and more powerful than ever to take back what is hers.

As she trains in combat and grows more confident, Tess receives beautiful letters penned by her forbidden love, the chosen one James, from his prison in Templeton. He is now serving as a bodyguard to the creators—the team of scientists who created artificial life in the first place. And what he has discovered about the true origin of the illness that halted natural life could change everything. Enemy will become ally and death will bring new hope in this stunning conclusion to Tiffany Truitt’s epic Lost Souls trilogy.

*************

I am so excited to be visiting Mundie Moms to talk about CREATORS, the final book in my dystopian series, The Lost Souls. I’ve been a huge fan of the site since first discovering the world of Cassie Clare. Mundie Moms has been super supportive of my series, and I am always thankful that I get a chance to guest blog here.
Today, I am here to discuss the latest characters added to the series. It’s a hard thing bringing a series to an end, and to do so successfully means adding new characters that not only help propel the story but also feel authentic enough for the reader to get behind. There are some slight spoilers below for readers who have not yet read the first two books in the series (Chosen Ones and Naturals…and you still have time to catch up), so read at your own risk.
Stephanie
Age: 18
Classification: Rebel Solider
Physical Description: Stephanie was stunning. Gone was the tight ponytail and dirty uniform. Her black hair was free, cascading past her elbows. She wore a long pale blue skirt with a white blouse pulled tight enough to prove to anyone who wondered that she was all woman, not a girl. The sleeves of her blouse were shorter than what most women wore in the community, showcasing her tight and toned arms. She was the perfect mixture of toughness and beauty.
Characteristics: Loyal, Athletic, and Opinionated
Favorite Stephanie Quote: “I struck one of you bastards right in front of his friends. He thought he had the right to put his hands on me. I guess he didn’t like it when I marked up his pretty little face.”
Charlie
Age: 50s
Classification: Rebel Leader
Physical Description: I could feel the weight of my father’s presence behind me without seeing him. It was like a sixth sense that I couldn’t shake ever since we started heading toward the community.
Characteristics: Vigilant, Combative, and Stubborn
Favorite Charlie Quote: “We keep going. We don’t stop and bury the dead because soon there’ll be too many dead to bury. The war isn’t coming, Tess, it’s here. And there’s no time to waste. No place to hide. We fight or we die.”
Abrams
Age: ???
Classification: One of the Original Creators
Characteristics: Manipulative, Damaged, and Brilliant
Physical Description: My father came to a stop, pointing his finger toward a scrunched up, haggard creature tied to a tree. Its head was covered in a burlap sack.
Favorite Abrams Quote: “But here’s the thing man forgets about nature; it’s a real bitch. She’ll wait. Hide until you think you’re safe. Morph into a new beast while your back is turned, and just when you’ve almost forgotten her power, she’ll come back for you with a vengeance.”
