Willowgrove is Kathleen Peacock's riveting conclusion to the Hemlock trilogy, a dark, romantic, paranormal suspense series that pits friendship against survival, and trust against love.

Ever since Mac's best friend, Amy, was murdered, Hemlock has been a dangerous place. But now that Mac, her boyfriend, Kyle, and Amy's ex, Jason, have investigated a mass breakout from Thornhill, a werewolf "rehabilitation" camp, the danger has only grown. Fear of the infection spreading is now at an all-time high, and anyone with a scar is suspected of being a wolf.

What makes Mac even more afraid, though, are the dark experiments that the warden of Thornhill was performing on wolves in a secret asylum called Willowgrove. Uncovering the truth about what happened may be the only way for Mac to save everyone she loves and end her nightmares for good.

An awesome ending to a great series.

I've anxiously awaited this series ending book for what feels like forever now. I've loved Peacock's wolves since I read Hemlock, the first book in her series. You can read my reviews for Hemlock and Thornhill. There are many things I've loved about this series, and while it's bitter sweet to say goodye to Mac, Kyle and all the characters I've enjoyed getting to know, I have loved the time I've spent reading this series. This series has had it all. There's romance, action, loyalty, an unbreakable friendship, betrayal, deadly secrets, cover ups, plot twists, and more. Most importantly, there are plenty of WOLVES!

I'm going to vague in my review, as to not give away any spoilers, because I can't really talk about specifics without giveaway anything away. What I can say, is this ending is all that I had hoped it would be, and then some. I liked the surprises, shocking twists, and turn of events that took place in WILLOWGROVE. I liked that some of the betrayals and surprising secrets that are revealed were things I didn't predict. I have enjoyed the characters of the Hemlock series. This book might of broken me a bit with what a couple of the characters go through/deal with. This ending is so bitter sweet for them. Romances and friendships get stronger, some friends and loved ones die, and some tough sacrifices are made that will forever change Mac and her friends. Don't worry, for all the heart break, and there are moments of sweetness, kissy scenes, and moments that made me snicker.

WILLOWGROVE wraps up the series perfectly. It gave me all my answers I have been waiting for and then some. All the lingering questions I had, got answered. And not necessarily in the way I thought they would. Everything that has happened up to this point in the series was done for a reason. I like the way that everything  that has happened up to this point in the series, ties together in this book. Previous character actions, betrayals, and even the cause of Amy's death, are all tied together.

This book has a twisted plot line that was so well crafted, I couldn't predict the outcome that was coming. Can we say action packed? This book has plenty of danger, suspense, mystery and action. It was well paced, and well written. If you're looking for a great paranormal YA book that has that blend of everything, including a tough heroine, and hot wolfy boy, then you'll want to pick up this series.

If you've read this series, and are wondering if you want to read WILLOWGROVE, trust me! You definitely do! You'll like what Peacock has in store for you in this series ending book. It's not a series ender that leaves me sad and depressed it over. I've read some of those series enders that about broke me emotionally. Thankfully WILLOWGOVE left me like this series was complete. I felt hopeful for the feature of Hemlock's wolves, Mac, and some of her friends.

  2. I liked this book but I don't think it packed the punch the first book in the series did. I didn't think the second book did, either. Overall I enjoyed the story and plot, though.
