Don Carmody, TMI TV Show Producer Talks About the Series

Global News has an interesting interview with Don Carmody, producer of the TMI TV series. On March 1st, in Toronto at the Canadian Screen Awards, Don spoke about the future of the series.

Carmody was frank when talking about the disappointment of the TMI movie. He said they were hoping for a "Hunger Games" or "Twilight" type of franchise. But, he feels that “The story is so broad and the novels are so dense that we’re actually now talking about doing it as a limited series for television. The first book would be the first year and then assuming that goes well, the second book, the third book, the fourth… there are six books. So that’s what we’re looking at.”

He mentioned that there is a showrunner (someone who is responsible for the creative and financial aspects of the show) and a pilot episode. The last thing he said is that they are hoping to do it "here" (meaning Toronto).

It's exciting to see all this news swirling around the TV show. What are your thoughts, MMs? Can you imagine all six books coming to the small screen?
