* I received an arc from the publisher to review in exchange for my honest review

Filled with romance, rivalry, and passive-agreesive dog walking, Amy Spalding delivers a hilariously relatable story about how even the best-laid plans sometimes need to be rewritten.

What's the only thing that could derail overachiever Jules's perfect senior year? Alex Powell-former member of the boy-band sensation Chaos 4 All and the newest transfer to Eagle Vista Academy.

Alex seems cool enough when he starts spending time with Jules. In fact, he turned out to be quite the romantic (not to mention a killer kisser). And after getting over the initial shock that someone like Alex might actually like like her, Jules accepts that having a boyfriend could be a nice addition to her packed schedule. That is, until Alex commits the ultimate betrayal, which threatens to ruin her high school career, and possibly her entire future

This. Means. War.

Spaulding's newest release was just the kind of book I needed. It's a fun, quick, entertaining read. It took me back to my high school days, though minus revenge part. Spalding's characters were great, and at times entertaining. I enjoyed getting to know each of them. Jules and Alex have that cute, YA romance that was perfectly fitting for this book.

I couldn't help but love Jules and her trying to figure out if Alex really likes her not. Thankfully she's got the perfect best friend to help her through this, and a few other things that happen in this book. I'll admit I got really irritated with Jules during part of this book. Thankfully she redeems herself before the book ends. Jules has some great friends, along with her two moms, that give her some much needed advice. I liked the way things were resolved with Jules, her family and friends, and Alex.

Overall, I liked this book. I thought it was a good read. I'm not always a big fan of YA contemporary, but this was a fun read, and the perfect way to spend some down time during a busy week. I'm looking forward to reading more of Amy Spalding's books.
