I seriously love this cover. Not only does the cover look like you're looking through the camera to take a picture, I love the outdoor aspect of it, and the fog. It adds this element of mystery to it. Like, who's following her, and taking her picture, and what is she taking a picture of. I'm really looking forward to reading this book! It's an, "adventure-thriller with a hint of romance." Sounds like my kind of book!

You are the first! The first to see the full cover and jacket of my new novel that launches April 10th 2018. It’s called The Fall of Grace and its cover only tells part of the story.
You meet Grace. She’s got long hair on the cover but in fact, when the book starts, it’s been cut short and stuffed beneath the lowered brim of a cap. She’s hiding. • With the camera in her hand and the frame around the scene—we can see she’s into photography. But we can’t see what’s behind her. Who’s behind her. She’s being followed by Sam. It’s his story, too, but he’s only a shadow here. • You also get a hint of fog and trees, but you don’t see the mountain that tests them. That nearly destroys them.
As much as I love the suspense of the cover, I also love how the jacket gives you so much more.

DeleteLove the cover and your interpretation of it. I am drawn by the aura of mystery around the fog and branches. And the title is a winner. Can't wait for next April.
ReplyDeleteI really like the cover. I enjoy photography and this as a frame is brilliant. I also like that we don't see the girl's face, that it's cold and foggy, which sets the mysterious mood for this book.
