What an ending! Talk about a thrilling, action fueled, romance packed read. This was the ending I had hoped for. Maas gave me everything I had wanted, and have come to except in this series, including characters and a world I don't want to say good bye to just yet.
Feyre's story has come full circle, and I've loved seeing her grow into the character she is now. One of the things I liked about this book is the role Feyre's sisters play as well. While Feyre is still the main character, there's a lot of side story with her sisters. It added an interesting element to the story. I found myself wanting to know more about them, which thankfully we do as the story continues.
The romance is scorching in this book. Rhys and Feyre may have had me blushing a few times. I absolutely love these two together. They are stronger than they've been. I really admire how Rhys's respects Feyre. He allows her to be the strong person she is, and never deters her from being anything but what she wants to be. I've loved that about him.
There's so much that happens in this book. Having said that, there wasn't anything in the book that I felt was added just because. Everything and everyone has a purpose for being in the story. I loved that, because all too often in a big book like this, things are thrown in that really don't add anything to the overall story. I liked how everything played out with getting to know the characters and seeing how things turn out in the end.
I felt Feyre's story wrapped up the only way it could have. It was perfect for her. I will say, I'm not ready to be done with this world and it's characters just yet. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books that take place within this world.
* Like the previous book in the series, this one has adult content in it, including sexual and sensual scenes, making it one I'd recommend to older YA readers and adult readers.
