Will Tudor Cast as Sebastian in the @ShadowhunterTV Series #Shadowhunters

It's official Shadowhunters! We have our Sebastian! Check out the official press release from Freeform, and see what Cassie shared exclusively with me about the casting announcement ( you'll love her response).

Per the Official Press Release:

Internet rumors have been circling for months on who would play the role of “Sebastian” in the Freeform original series “Shadowhunters” and, via a Facebook Live chat, it was announced today that actor Will Tudor (“Game of Thrones”) has been cast in the role. Tudor will be a recurring guest star in the later half of the second season slated to air later in 2017.  All new episodes of “Shadowhunters” air on MONDAYS at 8:00 - 9:00 PM EST.

Sebastian is a charming, brilliant and highly educated Shadowhunter with unrivaled fighting abilities. Originally from a foreign Institute, he finds his way to the New York Institute after befriending one of the show’s main characters.

Based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series “The Mortal Instruments” by Cassandra Clare, “Shadowhunters” follows Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is, but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. Now thrown into the world of living among faeries, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and demon hunting, Clary must rely on Shadowhunters Jace, Isabelle and Alec to navigate this new dark world with her best friend, Simon, in tow.
Nothing is as it seems, including her close family friend Luke, who turned out to be a werewolf, as well as the enigmatic warlock Magnus Bane, who has surprisingly become an ally in the search for Clary’s past.
“Shadowhunters” is produced by Constantin Film and executive-produced by Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, McG, Michael Reisz, Matt Hastings, Mary Viola, Martin Moszkowicz and Robert Kulzer. The series stars Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon Lewis, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway, and Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane.

I had a chance to ask Cassie what she thought. I love her response. Here's what Cassie shared with me:

"Todd and Darren sent me Will's audition tape, and after I watched it I sent Dominic (Sherwood) a text that said, "Congratulate Will for me"-because I knew it would be him!"

What do you guys think? I'm really looking forward to seeing Will bring his character to life. I'm a little shocked Sebastian is being introduced into the story so early, but I have a feeling things are about to get a lot more complicated during this season of Shadowhunters. We can't wait to see what happens.

New York Times bestselling author Maria V. Snyder brings her Poison Study series to its exhilarating conclusion.
Despite the odds, Yelena and Valek have forged an irrevocable bond and a family that transcends borders. Now, when their two homelands stand on the brink of war, they must fight with magic and cunning to thwart an Ixian plot to invade Sitia.
Yelena seeks to break the hold of the insidious Theobroma that destroys a person's resistance to magical persuasion. But the Cartel is determined to keep influential citizens and Sitian diplomats in thrall and Yelena at bay. With every bounty hunter after her, Yelena is forced to make a dangerous deal.
With might and magic, Valek peels back the layers of betrayal surrounding the Commander. At its rotten core lies a powerful magician and his latest discovery. The fate of all rests upon two unlikely weapons. One may turn the tide. The other could spell the end of everything.
A perfect ending. For the last ten years I have loved spending time with the characters Snyder has introduced me to through the Study series, and her spin off series. It's been bittersweet knowing that this was the last book featuring some of my all time favorite literary characters. I loved their story ends. Everything wraps up just the way it should be. For the characters it's about closure, new chapters, hope, fresh starts, healing, and so much more.

The overall series storyline, mixed with this new one bring favorite characters, and new ones together for one last time. In true Snyder fashion, this book is chalk full of surprising twists, shocking discovers, fight scenes, wits, and of course the moments I absolutely love between Yelena and Valek. One of the things I've loved about this series, is Snyder's use of all her characters. Sure there are our main characters, but her entire cast of characters all have played, and continued to play crucial parts in this story. It's each of their stories that are both intwined, and individually that are wrapped up in this book.

All the answers you've been waiting for, the moments you didn't think were going to happen, and the scenes you've been dying to read are gifted to fans in this book. I could not have asked for a better conclusion. Well almost. There are still a couple characters I had hoped would have had a little more time in the story vs being mentioned. Other than that, this is the kind of ending I was hoping for. Yes, I'm being vague. I can't mention specifics without giving away spoilers. I will say, not everyone turns out the way I thought they were, happy endings aren't always wrapped up in pretty bows, but come in the form of characters realizing what's most important, and their journeys merging together are far better than bows, and forced endings.

Thank you Maria for sharing the long journey of your wonderful characters with us. For their stories, and those of their faithful & loyal friends. I've loved these characters, each of their journeys, and all of the books that take part in this world.

Maria V. Snyder changed from being a meteorologist to a novelist in 1995, when she began writing to keep her sanity while raising two children. Since then, she has published numerous freelance articles in magazines and newspapers, and teaches fiction-writing classes at the local college and area libraries. The classes give her the wonderful opportunity to encourage fellow writers, and to keep improving her craft.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Maria always had a fascination with big storms. Dreaming of chasing tornados, Maria earned a bachelors of science degree in meteorology at Penn State University. But she discovered, much to her chagrin, that forecasting the weather wasn't one of her skills. In order to chase tornados you had to predict where they might form. Creating fantasy worlds where she has complete control of the weather was more agreeable to her.

Maria's research on food-tasting methods with an expert chocolate taster, her husband, turned out to be a delicious bonus while writing Poison Study.
Maria has a brown belt in Isshinryu Karate, and enjoys playing volleyball and the cello. Traveling in general and via cruise ship in particular are her biggest distractions from writing. Maria has traveled to Belize, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal.

Maria lives with her husband, son, daughter and yellow lab, Hazelnut, in Pennsylvania where she is at work on more LUNA novels. She is also pursuing a master's degree in writing popular fiction from Seton Hill University.
