**We are still working on editing Cassie's author chat with us. It was such a huge chat, that it's taken longer for us to get it posted on the forum. We promise that will be done by this weekend that latest. Thank you for your patience.

  1. I'd have to say read and/or have a Root Beer Float :)

  2. Whenever I have one of those days I go and get some ice cream, some chocolate and a book to read. =D sometimes I get a loaf of french bread and eat the whole thing like a mad woman!

    ReplyDelete
  3. I go buy a new book and get a hot chocolate from Starbucks.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Dawn, that sounds delicious!! Cynthial11, I agree. A pot of tea, chocolate with caramel and a good book. Mhmmm, I feel better already.

    ReplyDelete
  5. FireandIce...SBX hot chocolate -- yum. B&N and SBX, the best of both worlds!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I read my friends blogs and catch up with them on Twitter. It always makes me feel better.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm so with you guys on the book! I indulge. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  8. First Alex and now Rob....I have some very yummy boys representing my country, it makes me feel happy

    ReplyDelete
  9. I tend to just curl up and not deal sometimes other times i read or play online (i have great friends who are good at cheering me up! hehe)

    Y'all rock!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Usually I read a favorite book, if that doesn't work I bake -- red velvet cake or almond biscotti always make me feel better :-)

    ReplyDelete
  11. It's British Boy Day today on Mundie Moms just for you Carla! lol

    ReplyDelete
  12. I go in my room and read for a few minutes then take a nap. If that doesnt work, but it usually does, I find a comfort movie and watch that.

    ReplyDelete
  13. For those days I usually curl up in bed, in my room and just Google Authors until I feel better.
    Or I read a book. (:

    ReplyDelete
  14. Have you guys posted the transcript for the Cassandra Clare chat yet?

    ReplyDelete
  15. A book, a bowl of salsa with some chips, a comfy blanket wrapped around my legs, and, in a perfect world, in my bedroom with the door shut. These are a few of my favorite things.......

    ReplyDelete
  16. So, I'll tell you guys what I did today, as I've been having "one of those days". I bought some dove chocolate and I'm not a chocolate person and I'm reading. That's my indulgence. So, part of our give away will be Dove Chocolate! YUM!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I put on cozy socks, fix a cup of hot chocolate and escape into a favorite book (probably one I've read and re-read and re-re-read many times) when I have one of "THOSE" days.

    ReplyDelete
  18. When I have Fort days, I spend my time on The Rath (Wicked Lovely forum) & the girls there cheer me up. Milk chocolate is the best. Twitter often helps too. Especially when you have very entertaining friends like Myra.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I find some great indulgence food and curl up in a nice warm place with a book!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well unpredictable I'm not (if you know me personally that is...) but my remedy when having one of 'those' days is to curl up with a nice book under the duvet whether it is a new one or a reread and just read and read and I'll instantly feel much better, sometimes I'll have Ben&Jerry's Phish Food (and feel guilty about the calorie count later *rolling eyes*), other times I might call a friend and go for a coffee just for a change of scenery and some light 'gossiping' if you like but I'll rarely do that. I think books are my way of 'coping' and genuinely the best way to deal with just about anything (mentally/emotionally -I am aware of course that they can't magically solve my problems but they do go a long way to boosting my mood *shrugs*)! :D

    ReplyDelete
  21. when I am having a bad day I usually end up talking with my friends from YouTube. They always make me feel 539379520 times better. Either that or write, writing always makes me happy! =D

    ReplyDelete
  22. I end up eating. I know it's the worst one can do, but in all honesty, I'm not alone as a stress eater. Too many people do this when stressed. At least I try not to eat too many carbs. I've lost 30 pounds since July & don't want to find it. Okay, 35 until the holidays...

    jlanskycomcastcom

    ReplyDelete
  23. I go hide in my room behind the cover of a good book. If my bad day persists on following me I have been known to take my book and hide in my closet, but the floor is not very comfy, not even with a pillow.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Entertaining? WHO? Not me. Not when I'm just sittin' here starin' at that pic of Rob with drool running down my chin.

Don't lie. You're doing the same thing.

    Why is he so FRUSTRATED??

    ReplyDelete
  25. He's frustrated because he wants to know where his Shasta is! I'm right here, bb....right here.

When I'm stressed, I hide and read and eat chocolate and stare at pics of Rob.....*sigh*

    Thanks KB....I love ya!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I console myself by playing Farmville, curling up with a book, and napping.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Easy peasy answer to this one, I read a book in bed under the covers with the Chihuahua on one side of me and my Calico tabby on the other napping. When get de-stressed then put down the book and go to sleep for a short nap with my monsters.....

    ReplyDelete
  28. ROTFL Myra and Shasta. I think he's trying to figure out how to divid his time between the two of you and realizing it's going to be harder than he thought.

You guys have all given great feedback. We think you are all amazing women and have made us feel better in knowing we're not the only ones who indulge in treats and a good book!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I eat popcorn, nachos with cheese, chocolate and make my BFF take me to the movies (where I find the popcorn and nachos with and extra large soda) or eat icecream.

    @MariePuertoRico

    ReplyDelete
  30. Love Myra's eye-candy filled fort! :)

Three of my favorite ways of dealing with "those days" are:
    1. Chinese food & a Buffy marathon
    2. Chocolate chip cookie dough, peppermint tea, and a great book
    3. An impromptu evening at home with my husband and our best friends - playing boardgames, eating popcorn, and watching any laugh-inducing DVD.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I usually play video games that involve a lot of rapid button-pushing to take my mind off things :)

I really enjoyed those pictures on the fort post!

    ReplyDelete
  32. mundiemoms i love ur blog!! i especially love you even more for puttin up that pic of rob!! so beautiful. what do i do when my day is crappy? well i like to stay in bed, cuddle up to my dog, watch twilight, and eat pizza w/ coke. junk food plus rob pattinson = heaven. if its not twilight then its some other equally amazing movie. thanks for ur wonderful posts and have a great weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  33. When my day is not going right I normally grab some junk food, put on a chick flick, grab a book and put the pajamas back on. From here I crawl into bed, and stay there. haha. Today was one of those days!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hmmm on a bad day, there are so many factors lol..... Ok ideally I would change into my most comfy pj's, grab my warm blanket and cuddle up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and either my computer OR a good book. - pretty boring huh? Although...sometimes on a bad day I am able to make jokes on Twitter with a certain MundieMom about P and all of the fun things he would do here in the real world, lol

    ReplyDelete
  35. I usually plug my ipod to a good speaker and play something upbeat. dance and sing the bad vibes away!

    ReplyDelete
  36. When it's one of those days...I usually drink iced mocha and eat chocolate. And then I go to the bookstore, select one or two YA books for me to read. Then if I still don't feel good...I ask my mom to go shopping with me for new outfits and to cook my favorite dish. It's called 'sinigang.' You pronounce it as see-knee-gang in a fast way. It's a pork with a tamarind-base soup that tastes sour, like citrus sour. :D

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh wow, awesome giveaway!! That prize pack will sure pick anyone up on a bad day :)

When I have one of those days I either hole myself up in my bedroom, lay on my bed with ipod on for hours or I go outside in the sun and escape to my favourite world with my favourite people - in short, my favourite book! Comfort food adds to mood-uplifting too :D

    ReplyDelete
  38. I must be one of the few that can't read when I'm having a bad day. I can't seem to focus on the book, so I do one of a few other things depending on the weather. If its nice outside, I hit the hiking trail. If its raining, I put in one of my favorite movies. If my kids are home, I turn on some dancing music in the living room as loud as we can stand it and shake our frustrations out. And if my kids aren't home, I draw a bubble bath and drink some margaritas or a bottle of wine (yes the whole bottle). Go big or go home is my motto! :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I do one of two things...
    1. hide in the bathroom and read for 10 minutes (seriously that is the only private place in my house and it helps to live in someone elses world even for a few minutes)
    2. take a nap! then start over.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I open the fridge and break out the Cadbury bar.

    lesly7ch(at)yahoo(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  41. Grab a book, hit the gym and work it off until I am physically and mentally cleansed.

    katlynpicard(at)yahoo(dot)com

    Thanks for the amazing giveaway!!!

  42. When I am having one of those days I try to relax and just read a book or go to sleep

    Raelena

    ReplyDelete
  43. When my day's not going right? I hide under the covers and only peak out enough to bury my face in a book. I turn off the cell phone, the internet and ignore the doorbell. I like to hide sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  44. When mine isn't going right I read blog entries like a maniac. Also, drink guilt-free Mountain Dew and eat candy like it's nobodies business.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I sleep, and listen to music.

    Travis
    spongyman1026@yahoo.com

    ReplyDelete
  46. When my day isn't going right, I get up anyway. I have others to care for. But once in awhile, on rare occassions, I can stay in bed and then I read. I like to get lost in someone else's problems, in someone else's world.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Bad days usually provoke one of two responses in me: (1) I need to get away! In which case, I'll usually take a long walk or peruse travel websites for trips I may never actually take. Or (2) I really need a friend! In which case I'll cuddle with my cat and a good book, or call up a gal pal and meet for drinks and dessert somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I call / IM someone who I know won't mind and rant, then call / IM someone else and rant some more (I'm soo annoying on those days! and have some amazing friends LOL), then I eat cookies.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have a few solutions to bad days. I go to a bookstore and buy books, order Chinese take-out, drink tea, watch Pride and Prejudice (the 6 hour BBC version with Colin Firth), and if I feel particularly bad, I'll bake while watching Joss Whedon shows.

    sashullichka@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  50. I tend to keep at whatever I'm doing for half a day, then give up and *try* to relax via walking or doing something completely opposite from what I was doing to begin with. :D

    ReplyDelete
  51. I usually read or go to bed and cover my head up until it all goes away...lol I don't get to do the later very often but it is my preferred method lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. When I'm just having one of those days I seek refuge in Harry Potter. Sounds silly maybe, but it's true. I pick up one of my Potter books and escape into a whole other magical world. I play Quidditch with Harry, wizard chess with Ron, read lots of books with Hermione and go see the Thestrals with Luna. When you love something it can cure almost anything trivial, even if it seems horrible at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Oh those days! How treached are thee! Reading a favorite book adds some fun. But taking a nap also gets the job done. Starbucks always makes smile. But their talls only last for a little while. I might sit down and watch some Buffy. Or walk the dog so white and fluffy. Those days make life seem so much harder. If all else fails, reread Harry Potter!

    ReplyDelete
  54. When I am having a bad day I love to get sit in a hot bath (with bubbles of course) and soak...and then curl up with a good book. Amazing how books take you to another world and all the sudden your problems aren't so immediate anymore! Gotta love it.

    booknerdd(at)gmail(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  55. When I have "one of those days" I try to tone it down so no one sees and I don't get overwhelmed by it. I pretty much end up reading a book or re-reading a really great one that would take my mind off of anything else instantly.

    chicareader@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  56. Generally on "one of those days" I would get a pint of Phish Food and curl up in a ball under a blanket with a book. Although I'm trying to learn to replace that pint craving with some exercise to get the endorphins flowing.

    Bixie23@aol.com

    ReplyDelete
  57. If i have one of those days i call my friends and blog about my day. that way nobody will get hurt, cause nobody reads my blog.= ] If that doesn't work, i read an awesome book, which (of course) clams me down.

    yilingni@yahoo.com

    ReplyDelete
  58. When I have "one of those days", I open the curtain, turn the music up and sing my little heart out. It's usually a good idea to have some chocolates around as well :) Music is good for the soul ...
    xoxo,

ps: I'm a HUGE fan of Maureen Johnson!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I bake..a double layer devils food chocolate cake with spinkled walnuts. That always puts me in a good mood. If that dosen't work I go to a park near by that has a walking trail surrounded by woods. I take a book and a blanket.(without my cell phone!). There is nothing better than having the sun shining down on me while light winds blow thru my hair and the smell of natures engulf me. This always makes it easier to immerse in whatever book I'm reading. It's very calming and peaceful. But I have to say the cake usually does it for me;)lol

    ReplyDelete
  60. I get a big tub of icecream or something equally terrible for me and go read or watch a movie.

    ReplyDelete
  61. aawww dang after all that I forgot to leave my email..lol here it is abookloversreview@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  62. I wuld curl up in bed for the rest of the day and try to sleep it off.

    jen4777[at]hotmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  63. I drink copious amounts of steaming-hot coffee, talk to my angel of a mother on the phone, and dance around the apartment to the loudest music I can stand.

    leighofthestone(at)yahoo(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  64. Well, I guess I'm predictable enough. Chocolate and a good book, preferably one that takes me out of this world for a while, or makes me laugh (or both), and instant messaging with my friends is a must-do!

Oh, the pic of Rob helps too... ;D

    @Lakien
    anacarlapn@hotmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  65. Have some hot cocoa. Like right now : )

    ReplyDelete
  66. I had one of those days just yesterday =P I've been sick for the past months - basically, everything I eat (even jello!) makes me sick, and they still haven't figured out what is wrong with me.
Anyway... Yesterday I had to come back from work early bc I was having one of those days. What I did (and what I usually do when I have one) was lie down and cry a bit to release some tension. Then I took a looong nap. After that, I watched a few random episodes of my fav. show: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". That is enough to get me back in a calm, rested mood =)

    ReplyDelete
  67. When I have one of those sucks-to-be-you days, I:

    (at school)
    1. eat the most sweetest thing I can find nearby
    2. bleed my friends' ears out with my continuous ranting
    (anywhere)
    3. curse a lot... mostly inside my head though
    4. go to the bookstore and splurge even the littlest cash I have
    5. do a chant. "It's gonna be much better tomorrow."
    6. punch something
    (at home)
    7. eat some more. I go infront of the snacks closet in our kitchen, grab whatever's in there and eat it while sitting on the floor
    8. text my friends some more or post a whiney message in my FB account (I seem to be the announce-my-sorrows type..)
    9. lock myself inside my room, shut the windows tight, turn on the aircon, and curl up in bed while watching cartoons

and when I just can't take it anymore I do the most mature thing a teenager can do...

10.cry to her mommy. (Yeah... so mature.)

    hahahahaha... XD

  68. Haha I wish I COULd take the next flight out of town! That would solve lots of problems ;)

    ReplyDelete
  69. If possible, I go for a run. I know, it probably sounds very '90's but there's nothing that clears my head like a hard run with Muse pounding in my ears. Absent of the chance to bolt, I eat candy. Preferable dark chocololate M&Ms. I always vent with a friend. Sometimes going upside down helps, too. For me, a headstand is an immediate mood adjuster. BTW, Love the site. Keep up the good work!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Laura-I used to love going on runs. It made such a difference in a bad day. I jacked up one of my knees and haven't been able to run since then. That is the best feeling is the wind blowing through your hair and some fresh air when you're having "one of those days".

We have really enjoyed everyone comments! Thank you so much. You've made us laugh and shake our heads in agreement with you. Too bad we can't have one big get together to meet you each of you.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I eat Yan Yan (from Meiji) or Pringles or Doritos - whichever of them is easily accessible. :) Or sometimes, I'll just curl up on my bed and read a nice YA or/and romance book. :)

    austenfanblogs[at]gmail[dot]com

    ReplyDelete
  72. To cope with one of those days I grab a book I've read and love and read until I start feeling better. With a talk to my sister chaser. :p

    ReplyDelete
  73. When one of those days happens to me I write about it. I try to write scenes where all sorts of crap is happening to my MC. Usually I feel better after that. If I don't, I just take a nap.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Since I have been having one of those days for almost a year now I have changed my what makes me better. I recently moved to Canada to be with my husband who is from here. I can't work while I'm here and I LOVE to work. Before I would work about 60 hrs a week. Working always make me feel better. So at about being here for 3 months I decided I needed to do some kind of work to make me feel better. So I started to volunteer at random places. Like a gym doing daycare to working with abused women to a soup kitchen to going to friends houses and watch there kids so they can take a nap or go out and just do whatever. I have to tell you I rarely have "one of those days" anymore. Nothing makes you feel better then truly seeing what you have or watching the joy on a childs face or the relief on a moms face. I love it!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Your post is one of our favorites Graef Family! Doing charity/volunteer is the best way to lose ourselves and not dwell on the "I'm having one of those days". That is so awesome you do that!!! Keep up your amazing work!! You're a wonderful example to all of us!

    ReplyDelete
  76. If I'm having one of those days there is nothing better than curling up with a good book & a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows :o) Doesn't hurt to have a bar of chocolate to go with it either lol!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Usually I take a long shower and after that, a good book and some snaks always help a lot ^^

  78. What You Do When Your Day Just Doesn't Seem To Be Going Right.

My Favorite Saying Is "If It Wasn't For bad Luck, I Wouldn't Have Any Luck At All". I Always Seem To Be having One Of those Days. I Try A Few Things Actually To Try And Turn My Day Around. Like I Will Take A Long Hot Bubble Bath While Listening To Music, Read A Book While Listening To My iPod, Spend Quality Time With My Kids (If They Are Not The Cause Of My Stress....LOL),Or Hang Out With My Friends And Have Good Old Fashion Girl Time.

  79. My favourite thing to do when I'm having a "not so good day" is to put the kettle on, make some tea, and cuddle up in bed reading my current book.
Otherwise if I'm out and about, cruising through a bookstore picking out titles I would like to get in the future helps getting through a bad day.

    ReplyDelete
  80. When I'm having a not-so-great day, all I can thinking about is escaping into one of my books. Or drive around listening to the Mortal Instrument audiobooks also relaxes me. And it always includes me drinking a cup of coffee. :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. I either read, knit or go on Twitter.

  84. When I'm having an incredibly bad day, I usually curl up in my bed with my kitty and listen to music. Sometimes I feel better just by going out and spending some time away from it all too. I also feel so much better when I can vent to someone.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Ugh, I hate those days. For me, I'll grab my ipod and blast some music to tune out the world or put on some sweats and go for a run. Two of the best ways to get me focused and back on track.

  86. Coffee icecream while listenin to audiobook and playing mindless facebok games. That is how my last few days have been spent due to something upsetting last week. :(
