Waiting on Wednesday - NIGHTSHADE by Andrea Cremer

There are certain books that it seems like we've been waiting for such a long time and Nightshade is one of them. But, the best part of the wait is watching the process unfold -- first the synopsis:
While other teenage girls daydream about boys, Calla Tor imagines ripping out her enemies’ throats. And she wouldn’t have it any other way. Calla was born a warrior and on her eighteenth-birthday she’ll become the alpha female of the next generation of Guardian wolves. But Calla’s predestined path veers off course the moment she saves the life of a wayward hiker, a boy her own age. This human boy’s secret will turn the young pack's world upside down and forever alter the outcome of the centuries-old Witches' War that surrounds them.all
Then the cover and the book trailer. Finally, the release date, which is October 19, 2010. Don't worry, it'll be here soon. In the mean time, enter the Facebook ARC contest sponsored by Penguin Teen, here and friend Andrea on facebook, here.

We can hardly wait to experience the world of Nightshade, how about you?

This weekly event is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
