2010 Debut Author Challenge with The Story Siren

The Story Siren
We are very excited to be taking part in a fun challenge that Kristi, over at The Story Siren has put together. Here's how it works.

*The objective is to read a set number of YA (Young Adult) or MG (Middle Grade) novels from debut authors published this year.* I'm going to challenge everyone to read at least 12 debut novels!
* I would like to limit the novels to those released in 2010
* You don't need to have a blog to enter.
* You don't have to list your choices right away, but if you do feel free to change them through out the year.
*Anyone can join, you don't need a blog to participate. If you don't have a blog you can always share your views by posting a review on Amazon.com/Barnesandnoble.com/Goodreads/Shelfari or any other book site.

* The challenge will run from Jan. 1, 2010-Dec. 31, 2010. You can join at anytime!

  8. I don't get what you mean by "debut author". Jennifer Lynn Barnes has previously written before, so do you mind explaining?

  9. Skye, debut means first time author. Jennifer Lynn Barnes being on the list is probably an accident and meant to go on the bottom half of this post.

  10. I don't understand who qualifies for entering the challenge. You can make reviews of books that have already been release this year? or it's only for books that have not yet been release? in that case how do you put your hands on unreleased books in order to make the review? or this is a challenge for editors or people related to the books world only? I don't live in the US and english is not my maternal language but I love reading YA novels in english that I buy online or when visiting the US.

  11. Hi Nerioska,

The Story Siren is hosting this challenge and it's for all Debut Authors who's book are released this year. All books on our list and for the challenge have to be 1st time book releases for the authors.

Our ARCs (advanced reader copies) are for books that will be released soon. Most all the books on our list have already been released and the others will be released sometime this year.

    I hope that helps :D
